The basic material is 70% pinewood fibres originating from wood processing industries or from woods bearing a PEFC stamp of approval. The other 30% of the basic material is polypropylene. Polypropylene is one of the most environment friendly plastics.

LCA-study on Tech-Wood facade panels recently concluded:
'Tech-Wood panels have a potentially long life, and discarded panels may
be recycled as facade panels up to four times. The longer the life of
the material and the more often the panel can be recycled, the less taxing
it is on the environment. In comparison to other panels the Tech-Wood
panel scores high on environment friendliness.'
