Important Advantages of Tech-Wood Decking

The Marina-Deck is in our opinion rendered out of date by our products Professional-Deck and Duo-Deck, because of its price and its quality (bending strength). Although the name suggests otherwise, our Marina-Deck is no longer used for marinas also.

Our product Professional-Deck and Duo-Deck are therefore ideal for terraces (also around swimming pools), pontoons, landing-stages, balconies, foot and bicycle bridges and much more.

The quality (bending strength) and price of the hollow profiles is even better than the Marina-Deck. The Marina-Deck is therefore by now only used for stairs, or other purposes where a solid profile is needed.

Our product Closed-Deck creates a ‘closed’ surface, as the name already suggests. However, it is not entirely closed, so water can go through. The product may only be used for open constructions, like balconies and bridges for instance.

With ‘open’ constructions we mean that you can see the Closed-Deck from underneath also. It may never be used otherwise, like for instance terraces. If you seal the decking from underneath, you will create a different climate below and above your deck.

This will create a difference in absorption of water between the lower side and the upper side of the plank. In return, this will cause a difference in expansion between the lower side and the upper side, which will cause the profile to warp.

We try to keep all the colours of our products Professional-Deck and Duo-Deck in stock. The Closed-Deck and Marina-Deck are not products we keep in stock.

These products can only be produced if a production run is planned or if the order is large enough to plan a production run. We therefore advise you to aim your activities on the products Professional-Deck and Duo-Deck.

2. Can be used untreated outdoors
Tech-Wood that is used untreated outside gradually becomes grey and weathered just like real wood. However Tech-Wood does not need to be treated, even when painted or varnished the ends do not require any treatment making this the ideal alternative to tropical hard wood.

3. No special tools needed
Tech-Wood behaves exactly like a hardwood and so you can use all your usual hand and power tools for cutting, drilling and screwing.
